The part I need is on back order. However I tried the startx, logout, startx by accident and it worked. I tried again and it still worked. I rebooted, shutdown and waited a hour and it still works like should about 99% of the time. Something between 3-17 and yesterday made the problem happen less frequently. I can only get the lockup to happen if I startx logout startx etc a dozen times or more and even then it only happens rarely. I think you could probably release an updated driver with the fixes for 306970 and 340750 and most users will be fine.
