Realtek, Connexant, Sigmatel...): My laptop for instance has a Realtek AL268
codec.

I have an Acer TravelMate 6292 with a Realtek ALC268.
For gutsy, the snd_hda_intel module is now in the lum package (ie.
linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22 package).
So as suggested, I rebuild the gutsy lum package after patching it with the
realtek 17 patch available here:

I think there should be a notification when you plugin a webcam.
That it say "Ubuntu has detected that you plugged in a webcam".
I just plugged in a Logitech QuickCam Express, and absolutely nothing
happened. There were no indication that it worked or were detected.

No it does not solve the problem.
Because then you have to install the package first, to see the license.
I would like "Update Manager", "Add/Remove", and Synaptic to tell me
what license the software use, before I install it.

Yes, I do still have this issue.
As a workaround, I change the "Decoration windows" settings in "Window
Decorator" plugin from "any" to "(any) & !(title=Tibia Player Linux)".
Then it works, but then I have to live without window decoration (application
bar, title bar, close butto
