Created 3 arrays using cfdisk and mdadm
md0 -> raid0 -> /
md1 -> raid0 -> /var
md2 -> raid1 -> /home
Chose grub to be installed on /dev/md0
Installation goes fine until the end when it fails with an error that
grub can't be installed and system will be unbootable. Installer
i'm also experiencing this issue
- only running on integrated graphics
getting 3.5-4 hrs. average battery life and hoping to get more if and when this
issue is fixed.

zram kernel module creates a block device with a bad sector at the end.

For the record I have the same problem on a Huawei Matebook Pro using
Ubuntu 20.04 - fully upgraded. But the computer uses an HDMI adapter.
Could that be the problem?
Again for the record, on another computer with Ubuntu 21.04 (Waylabd),

On [k]ubuntu 9.04 64-bit, the DVD device becomes inaccessible following
a logout or starting a new session. lsof doesn't indicate any processes
using the device and the ownership and modes appear to be correct -- but
any access attempt results in an I/O error or access denied.
I don't know the performance impact. You can find the command in earlier
comments, but you basically want a variation of:
/sbin/ethtool -K eth0 gso off gro off tso off
with your network device substituted for "eth0".
If you simply run this manually after boot up, rebooting should turn it
back on
