The banshee-official-plugins package was folded into the main Banshee
package around version 0.11.4. The current Banshee package declares
that it conflicts/replaces banshee-official-plugins < 0.11.4, and there
was never (as far as I can see) a Debian or Ubuntu banshee-official-
plugins package >=
In that case, do you have the libxine1-ffmpeg package installed, or
possibly the libxine1-plugins package? I'm not sure how democracyplayer
chooses its backend.

Marking as a duplicate of bug #119254; the fix for that will be to merge
the new Debian kvm-28 package.

Fails to create KVM context on linux-image-2.6.
Sorry, the correct URI would be something like
"uri=file:///Home/dawn/Movies%20%%20Video/perfect_stranger.avi". The
full command would therefore be:
gst-launch-0.10 playbin
uri=file:///Home/dawn/Movies%20%%20Video/perfect_stranger.avi
It's case sensitive, too. Is /Home the correct directory?

After doing a bit more digging, it seems this patch needs quite a lot of
rewriting to be really acceptable upstream. Even the patch author
(David Reveman) doesn't think it's really appropriate for upstream.
I'm not particularly interested in doing that rewriting. I might try to
do a gstreamer co
Hm. This should probably be two bug reports, the animations setting
problem and the Emerald problem.
The Emerald package is too old to be used by Compiz (it's still 0.2.1,
which only works on Beryl without patching).
The animations setting problem is fixed in ccsm git: QuinnStorm's

Since it's been a month since the clarification was asked for, I'd like
to look at this merge. It's pretty simple, apart from the
dh_gstscancodecs failure, which I'm looking into.
