Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mplayer
Since we're aiming for Compiz-by-default in Gutsy, we might as well apply the patch from the compiz mailing list which makes mplayer's XV video output use Compiz's "video" plugin when available. Advantages are: 1) It should be faster than XV 2) It should fix some video output problems with the mplayer+compiz combination.
