I am quite confused with empathy in Karmic (de-de). I can't find a way
to add a Salute/Bonjour Account. Is it "Personen in der Nähe" ("People

files by the name rather than package name. Therefore many packages can

I suggest a cron job for opening this bug over and over again for
every ubuntu release (including betas and rc's). :)
That was a joke and here is soultion, that helped me numerous times
during installation of at least 3 different Ubuntu releases (8.10,
9.04 hits this bug even in a release, 9.10)
I managed to compile a custom kernel using the latest stable branch from
kernel.org (which is 3.6.31), and i just used ubuntu's config file and
skipped all the new features, so i shall do my stress tests and see if
it hangs overnight.

After some checking the newer kernel for karmic doesn't seem to use usbcore.ko .
Can't test if the new design used works by default, but it seems to be flexible
search in file:///tmp/linux-source-2.6.31/drivers/usb/gadget/file_storage.c
the buffer seems to be dynamic but at default set to 16384.

like the process must be killed with ^C, but I find if I run update-grub,
then at the point of it stopping (after memtest), hitting return a few
times brings up an interesting error that I think I saw something similar to

I just installed dmraid on a 9.04 machine and can't reverse the process.
The /boot partition is now hidden by the dmraid, so I cannot remove
dmraid from the initrd file. Same problem - the deletion of the
"nodmraid" kernel flag has made disabling dmraid impossible.

Every time I open Banshee, the main columns are a different size
(specifically it seems the "Music Library" column containing a list of
Artists and a list of Albums). I resize them and play my music. When I

update-grub did fix the problem. In fact it also re-detected the
original Linux installed by Asus on sda and Jaunty on sdb (these had
disappeared from my grub menu also but I didn't want to confuse the bug
in case that was somehow by design). Output from update-grub:

It appears that much of the pain here is in tls_g.c, the wrappers for
gnutls. The function tlsg_ctx_init in particular. This is where, at
least for my configuration, most of the failures are occurring. And the

After waking up my laptop from standby mode, my adhoc wireless connection stops

Pinging second adhoc computer says "Destination Host Unreachable".
