Dear Chris Cheney, I used the command insert>picture>from file.. to embed the picture into my document. The file structure was as follows
D:\\A\B\mydocument,odt ....the place where I stored my document D:\\A\\C\mypicture.jpg ......the place where I stored my image. The above arrangement does not upload the image while sending the file by e-mail. This I could verify by the file size. Generally I send my client the .odt file and .pdf file. I compare the file size of .odt and .pdf. The .odt file was much smaller. Then I changed file structure as follows D:\\A\mydocument.odt D:\\A\B\mypicture.jpg This works. I can see the file size of the .odt comparable with .pdf Hope I have made the case clear to you.
