Public bug reported: I have a multiseat setup described here
http://help.ubuntu.com/community/MultiseatX using a GDM. When a DVD disc is automounted it it is by luck whether the session that you are currently using gets to mount the device first. If a different session mounts it first, then as a different user has mounted it, you cannot unmount it from your own session. This is similar defect as the one described here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/28336 except that one is for KDE and non multiseat setup. The difference is that in multiseat setup multiple sessions can have focus or be active so it might be impossible for the system to decide for which session to automount the media without feedback from the user. If one session is idle then the system should be able to mount the disc on the session which is not idle if there is one. Otherwise system should popup a dialog (or display notification icon in notification area such as disc is ready to be mounter) on all sessions to ask to mount the disc and if one session accepts the options, the dialog would be dismissed on all sessions. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: multiseat -- Automount in multiseat setup mounts the disc to random session https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428266 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
