There is an issue to update[1] Macports' port for Scid to 4.7.0 and the
author proposes to remove the tklib dependency because Scid bundles and
installs it and its dependency itself. Is that accurate? if so, is it

The Tcl/Tk frameworks have changed from Carbon to Cocoa and I've managed to
make it work, but I need to test if the changes work on other versions of Mac

There has been an update on the mac tcl/tk libraries and some files need to be
updated. On menus.tcl I'm just moving the mac code upwards. start.tcl doesn't
show the changes on fonts set-up on CVS, so here they are too, ignore them if
they are already committed.

"configure" script can't find the right setting for the Makefile. I
found a setup.py script that solves a similar problem and ported it to
tcl (see the patch file), this seems to work fine and doesn't

You can try moving the scid preferences file to the trash. Go to the
Finder and select the menu "Go > Go to folder..." and type ~/.scid/
config in the window to open Scid's options folder, now move the
options.dat file to the trash and open Scid.

I just got a report that the animation of moves is not smooth on Mac,
the piece jumps in steps, Scid was running on a powerbook core 2 duo @
2GHz, so I don't think processor speed could be blamed.
Animation works fine in my mac and I can't reproduce this issue, has
anyone else see
I get the same behaviour on Mac, focus doesn't follow the mouse.
