The Bases and Books directories are inside the Scid.app bundle, if  
Scid is inside the Applications folder, the paths are the following:

/Applications/Scid.app/Contents/Resources/share/bases
/Applications/Scid.app/Contents/Resources/share/books

If it' not inside that folder, just replace /Applications with the  
path to Scid.
