I'm assuming you are in Dock windows mode, key mappings for move input are broken there. You can try de-selecting the menu item "Option > Moves > Show suggested moves", after that you would be able to enter moves by clicking on origin and destination squares. > Also, is there any way to get to the 'auto-save cache' option for the > tree window? Look for the tab "Tree Window" and click on the small triangle on the left of the tab, you will get the Tree menu, go to "Options > Auto- save cache file". You might want to try using the Standard mode instead, de-select the menu item "Options > Windows > Dock windows" and restart Scid.
