I have replaced scid-4.3-macosx.zip with this.

I don't know why, but I had to retry the upload 12 times trough the web 
interface, it failed with Firefox and Safari, it finally worked on the second 
attempt with Opera. I've switched to my ISP to Comcast, maybe there is some 
problem there.

Well, now it should work on mac as expected for 4.3, bugs included.
