Believe it or not, this is probably the simplest PPP scenario. The easiest way to this would be to go into linuxconf, delete your existing ppp0 inetrface, and start a new one from scratch. From there, it's pretty much like setting up a dialup connection in windows. Just say you want to use PAP, pr

Download the ppp-howto. Basically your carrier is starting the ppp interface (garbled text) and what you need to do is start pppd to accept this information. If you read the ppp-howto and don't get it or want to try another way try downloading ezppp or xisp and these will help you get online. I
