If I say: "emacs -title Editor\ 1", I will et an emacs with the title "Editor 1", but when I want to use the panel to pull up that window it says "[EMAIL PROTECTED]". I like to keep more than one emacs around, but they all have the same button titles in the panel.

I screwed up the Gnome task panel at the bottom of my screen by letting gimp fill up my home partition. I have added some of the buttons and menus back but the task panel is still not there. Is there some way to get gnome to recreate the default panel with all the aplets in it? bummin in Tulsa

Did you try to set up the Gimp?? This happened to me when I installed the Gimp. which needs gtk+, _not_ gtk. Unfortunately contol-panel won't work with gtk+, only gtk. So I kept both rpms around (both available from the usual ftp sources). If I wanted to run control-panel I would force up
