Yes they work fine. We use the 170 series where I work as well as some Dell flat panels and they all work great. (I believe they top out at 1280x1024 resolution though)
I cannot remember if the monitor's were directly supported or I selected a generic model. But either way, they work great. (Have been using them with Suse 7.0+ and Red Hat 6.2+) -Chuck -----Original Message----- From: Eric Sisler [mailto:esisler@;westminster.lib.co.us] Sent: Wednesday, October 23, 2002 4:11 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Support for ViewSonic flat panel monitors Greetings, I'm considering purchasing a ViewSonic flat panel monitor and I'm wondering if there are any issues involved in running X-Windows (RedHat 7.3 or 8.0)? I don't specifically see many of the flat panel models listed on the HCL (I'm considering models VG700 or VX700) but I'm thinking I can either specify the values or use one of the generic laptop or flat panel settings. Is anyone using one of these (or a similar model) with 7.3 or 8.0? Opinions on ViewSonic monitors/flat panels also appreciated.
