This is the DVD player from Creative Labs. Anyone know of any drivers or

This newbie to Linux is having less trouble with Linux in the second hour of

X11R5 and the latest is X11R6. When told to use X11R6, it fails to compile.

Not to long ago I upgraded Red Hat 4.3 to 5.0. Last week I started
running into problem with gcc complaining that some dynamic library was
loading libc.so.6 which may conflict with libc.so.5. But it wasn't

I'm trying to start/stop the postgres database manager with a SysV init
script (RH4.2).
The script (following under - line numbers not included into original)
correctly starts postgres on runlevel 3 but it won't execute in order to
stop it on runlevel 0 and/or 6. The symlinks in /etc/rc.d/rc0.d an
