Hi all,
In regards to the recently incubated project - Gobblin, we were wondering
about the policy around renaming Java package names to org.apache.* Is it a
mandatory requirement or good to have?
The reason to ask this is that while we see many projects have migrated to
use org.apache.* package

Hi John,
Looks like my first change was accepted. What is the usual delay from push to
rebuild?
Is there a good reason *not* to mention that the read/write repo is
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator.git somewhere in the
README.md?
Thanks,
Craig

Craig,
I'd start from https://incubator.apache.org/guides/website.html . As far
as I know, all of the git.apache.org addresses are read only mirrors, the
listed URL to checkout is
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator.git . Since you already
have it checked out, you can correct this
Hi,
I've got some updates for the ip-clearance page and I'd like to publish them.
I started by fixing
https://github.com/apache/incubator/blob/master/pages/guides/ip_clearance.ad
where the metadata is rendered as text.
But git gives me an error. How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Craig

We have the git history from the project of origin; the entire Ray

the commits relating to the contributed work for examination

My mistake. All 8 contributors are present and correct in the ICLAs file.

The plan is for all 8 named contributors to submit ICLAs.
I understand from Wes that all have submitted ICLAs, and the secretary has
acknowledged. I see all except Ujval Mista and Mehrdad Nicknami have been added
to iclas.txt in the last week or so. Let me check on the last two and get back
to
Thanks John!

Julian,
How are we verifying distribution rights? The git history doesn't match
the documented history. Are these individuals signing ICLAs?

Apache Arrow is receiving a code for the Plasma Object Store[1].
Please vote to approve this contribution.
This is a lazy consensus majority vote, per the IP clearance process[2], open
for at least 72 hours.

Hi -
I am not sure how to modify the podling report reminders. I think you will need
to wait for John.
The Board accepted your resolution. You are a TLP and the Incubator no longer
needs your report.

Dave

Hi Steve,
It was not so much the lack of committers as it was the current diversity. That
is not a blocker for entry to Incubation.
I am willing to be one of the Mentors. Once there are at least two more we can
push forward.

Dave

For now, I guess we're assuming we only need to file our TLP board report,

receive guidance saying otherwise. But, I'm still hoping that somebody will
positively confirm whether we're doing the right thing and/or explain how

I believe from the POV of Camel, the Messaging provider should provide
such components... we thought during the process to have these

The thing is.. starting an incubator project just to store the JMS

Sounds interesting. I wonder if the Camel community would be
interested in this as well?

We are proposing to bring DRAT (Distributed Release Audit Tool) to the ASF.
DRAT is a parallelized version of Apache RAT that uses OODT, Solr and Tika to
compute, visualize and interact with interesting statistics on code auditing as
