Hey guys,
I'm trying to get UW-IMAPd working under Debian but it fails to authenticate
users properly. It should be using PAM authentication.
Here's some snippets from related files:

Actually I have more 'diffcult' experience with ATI than nvidia... the
last time I checked, framebuffer still hangs when I switch from X to
consoles with my ATI 9700.
Your point? Even Linus tells people not to use framebuffer for
anything unless they have to.

/etc/network/interfaces. The glitch is that from bootup or insert to get it working I
have to do an ifdown then an ifup -- somthing else is trying (unsuccesfully) to bring
it up.

What do the logs say in /var/log/syslog?
I suspect you have a firewall in the way.
Try running ntpdate interactively.
/etc/init.d/ntp stop# or /etc/init.d/ntp

I am using Woody. I then compiled kernel 2.6.5.
As for the drivers they are compiled in not as modules.

When I generate a ps file from dvi (obtained by running latex on a tex

1) If I use -Ppdf option in the dvips command, gv takes quite a few

I've got an HPPA B1000 box, and have tried installing CDs for it. It will
boot (I've tried both vmlinux32 and 64) but it doesn't recognize either my
keyboard or mouse, so I can't get past the "release notes" screen. Is there

When I start ayttm and send my first message, a blip is heard from the

I've screwed up the time on my workstation and am confused on how to recover.
I installed Fedora on a spare partition to play with and when I rebooted to
Debian my time was four hours off. Lo, when I reset the clock to true local
time then ran ntpdate my time was bumped up four hours.

e1000 Intel 82546EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller everything
worked fine so far with the default 2.4.x kernel. But after
changing to 2.6.x the network just does not work anymore. I
