I am having problems with the number of columns used in the terminal. Aptitude search ... shows the full length but when piping it into more or less the lines are truncated. So aptitude search ... would give ... p xautomation - Control X from the command line, and find things on the screen ...
and aptitude search ... | more would result with ... p xautomation - Control X from the command line, and find ... I have the same problem with mutt that it is breaking lines in the middle of the screen where users didn't set their line length properly instead of breaking them at the end of the screen.
