an unexpected side effect.
hw-probe has been remove from testing and that causes curl to be missing
from the live images in testing, and therefore several openQA tests fail
(because curl has always been available in these images).
Can I be of assistance?

'nothingness' at the border of the screen.
The slight stretching of the svg image in [1] could then be reverted.
Old:
rsvg-convert $(SPLASH_SVG) > $(SPLASH_PNG);
New:
rsvg-convert --background-color black $(SPLASH_SVG) > $(SPLASH_PNG);
