I feel that I don't get the new package-structure of Qutip packaged
until Trixie soft-freeze at April 15th. It would have been the best,
if Qutip 5.x has never reached Debian Testing until now. I think a
down-grade to Qutip 4.7.5-2 is not possible.
Any idea?

I tested the last patch and I can confirm that my build succeeds including all
the tests. I also rechecked the build profile option and can also confirm that

Fantastic work. This was a fat-fingered change of mine as the newer compilers
need the header -- but sadly I picked "the wrong one".

Sure thing! (debhelper-compat also needs to go to '= 13')
Nice trick with the -any. Does that work like .* in Perl regexp or only for
terms after a hyphen like -i386 and -amd64 ?

gcc-14 was an accidental by-product of syncing once more with my 'test
directory' where I checked with gcc-14.
I will clean this up, and the patch is helpful and obvious.
