Currently Gnash uses OpenGL to render flash, and thus probably you're getting
this high amount of CPU usage because you don't have OpenGL acceleration and
must do it from software.
Upstream is working on switching the rendering engine to Cairo instead of
OpenGL. I hope that would solve the
