No. up2date can't (yet, at least) be used for upgrading from one
release of Red Hat Linux to another.

I've never had any problems, and I've probably installed it more than
most:) You might want to download the updates disk in order to avoid
a bug if you're installing on a system with a Windows partition on it,
though.

This is an old version of up2date - try the new one (in 7, and in the
6.2 updates directory): It's very good. I never used the old one much
(it was a pain), the new one OTOH is very nice.
