Let's say that I'm running 6.2 on one of these chips (well any chip), can
I successfully upgrade 6.2 to 7.0 using up2date? I've heard a lot of
horror stories on this mailing list concerning installation of 7.0 so I'm
reluctant to do it.
On vaguely related note. I got Xconfigurator to recognize my Asus onboard
video but it appears to be only 640x480 8 bit video. When I run up2date,
Netscape Navigator is started and Navigator has a fit dealing with the
"background color table". Lots of error panels later, Navigator just
exits.
Now this isn't right. Navigator should be capable of handling ANY color
table, color depth, resolution, etc. Any guidence on getting Netscape to
work properly with X and up2date?
