Ahh...you should see about removing all three/four intel
nic entries from Windows and re-installing the nic. Make
sure you have the CORRECT drivers. There are three or four
different nics which are EXTREMELY similar in model, but
take a different driver. (I know...I've got an Intel 10/100
nic in my Windows machine!)

You have to reboot after making changes in your network
config for the changes to take effect.

Try removing all three and re-scanning (in device manager

Shouldn't.
I hate to say it, but it sounds as if you need to find a
linux-friendly computer shop in your area and get them to
help you get it straightened out. I'm afraid I don't know
who to refer you to, but I think that's your best bet!

What you should do -- reconfigure LILO to boot to Windows
by default. Then tell 'em to hit "enter" at the "LILO"
prompt and enter Windows as normal. Then tell 'em you're
connecting via an ethernet router to the internet and all
you need them to do is fix the NIC so that it connects to
the default gateway at 192.168.2.1. :-)
