Hmm...sounds like maybe a config error. What position is it in on
your IDE chain? Some systems don't like having a CDROM as master on
either primary or secondary controller. If you've got it in the
secondary master position, try making it the secondary slave, even if
you don't have anything else on the secondary controller.
