tryed the first two comands as the cdrom is the secondary master. and got the
following
mount: No medium found        (this was without a CD in drive)
mount: Wrong medium type    (with music CD in drive)
these two where with the first comand the next all came up at once with the second
comand
mount:Block device /dev/hdc is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount:wrong medium type
now i was watching when Linux was loading and it does see my cdrom if that makes a
differance and if it helps any i would like the cdrom to automount so the wife can
use it when im not home.
