Pardon, the top post, but that is the way this thread is going. Anyway, I can see where Red Hat might not feel the need in that they aren't receiving money in most cases for that iso. They have provided a mechanism for those who have paid for support, and I might say graciously for those who haven't, to download the necessary rpms. They receive no extra money for those ISOs, and indeed the images can be passed around freely without Red Hat gaining any recompense. I have eight RHAS systems registered in RHNet along with seven other various systems. I also have numerous other systems spanning 6.2 on up. I had to download the rpms and install just about every version of the rpms. Yes, it was bloody inconvenient, but a couple of hours later, I was back to normal. Do I think that Red Hat should have had some forsight regarding this issue, Indeed I do. However, considering what you get for what you pay, it is a bargain at half the price. Ed Croft, RHCE
