Title: ISO Updates?

Yes, inconvenient is the operative word.  Who do you think they are going to put through gyrations, you are them.  They would have to create a new version to update the ISO’s so that ain’t going to happen for this update, so you are going to have to live with it.  I mean it is not that inconvenient. Procedure—download the necessary rpm’s.  Install the system update the up2date then update your system.

Well you can’t really get it from the RHN (at least not with via up2date). Basically as soon as you install a RedHat distro you have to manually download and install an update just to connect to RHN. That’s fairly inconvenient and something that I would expect from a less mature distro. I think it would warrant an ISO update, at least for 9.

I don’t mean to be nasty, but do you really think they would go to the expense of updating the iso’s  to add a fix that you can get from the rhn?

Has RedHat updated their ISO’s to include the new SSL cert so that you don’t have to add it to new installations manually?
