Well, there are likely several problems. First, Lilo and the ez-bios
can't coexist because they would both exist in the exact same space.
Nobody ever designed the MBR to support multiple things running from
it.
I don't remember where you have your Linux boot partition, but it
should be beloow the 1024 cylinder mark to be able to work without
BIOS support. This is whether LILO runs off a floppy or from the
MBR, since LILO needs to query the BIOS for the drive geometry to find
the kernel. Once the kernel is loaded, everything will work no matter
were they are.
LILO probably doesn't work though the EZ-BIOS because I'm really not
sure how compatible those things are, and I have the distinct
imprression they're crap. It's probably not even existing in the
right place in memory or something to be seen by lilo... I don't know.
Putting a kernel on a floppy and booting from that (with or without
LILO, since a kernel can oot by itself from a floppy) should work
completely well. Upgrading your BIOS is also another possibility.
