Sorry, Beth, as you can probably tell from my message, I'm not
going to be of any help. I'm in the same boat as you, and just
hoping that someone out there has knowledge about this. Since I've
been asking for awhile, it appears not. Nor have I reached anyone
knowledgeable on the topic of LILO at redhat support. Does anyone
have any idea who Beth and I could try asking next?

Someone has told me to do
fdisk /mbr
which will remove "that stinking" ez-bios from the master boot record. I
am
hesitant to do so, afraid that I will lose my WIN95 partition or not be
able to boot. I don't understand why ez-bios and LILO cannot both occupy
the MBR. Nor do I understand why, if this is really the problem, writing
LILO to floppy then booting from floppy doesn't solve the problem.....
