I've been so busy I haven't had time to do anything with the Mac mini I
acquired recently. And because I didn't write it down, I forgot the
[BLEEPIN'] password.
I was able to to reset the password using my Apple ID (which I did have
written down & fortunately the paper was still in the box waiting to be
shredded).
But *NOW* every time I try to login I get a prompt:
Mac OS X wants to use the "Local Items" Keychain.
Please enter the keychain password.
Nothing I've tried works & I don't even remember setting a keychain
password. It's not my Apple ID or my Apple ID password.
I'm able to cancel & it logs me in, but it's REALLY annoying.
I haven't yet installed any software other than the free upgrade to OS X
Mavericks.
This wouldn't be a problem with Windoze, because at this point I'd just
run FDISK & blow the whole thing away & reinstall from scratch. Is that
possible with the Mac?
I did make that 8GB bootable USB stick when I was upgrading to OS X
Mavericks.
