I think that it is good thing to both of Nokia and Intel as many as possible copies MeeGo. I was discussing about 3rd party components like OpenGL-ES drivers. I personally prefer open source drivers but that decision to open drivers is not one I can decide. Nokia and Intel are big companies that have lot of power equals money but is it wise to use it just by buying all silocon IP vendors that have closed drivers to release drivers as open source ? >The open source community hopes that the effort from Nokia & Intel >provides the first and complete open source platform / devices. GPU OpenGL drivers are not closed by Nokia for protecting anything because Nokia does not own copyright to them. I am not aware how much Intel have open GPU drivers for their GPU's.
