Then we need accept that the minor vendors have more power than  Nokia & Intel.

In the case of N900 until today the arguments of Nokia are the following:

The first five arguments are based in things like "brand",
"differentiation", etc.

Although Nokia & Intel would release the drivers and convince to the
minor vendors to release the drivers under open source conditions,
their business is going to keep protected. They have enough patents
about all the stuff related with the devices in order to "protect"
their innovations.

So, why we don't put our effort to reach  a COMPLETE open source
project? With the partnership between Intel & Nokia the possibilities
are very high.
