Your 7100 has in-built ethernet BUT you require an adapter to connect it to 10 BaseT. The PPC 7100 used the AAUI-15 connector. This was the interface used on all Macs that had ethernet prior to PPC 7500 (IIRC the 7200 had both AAUI-15 and 10Base T (aka twisted pair)). You'll need to get yourself such a dongle from a place like eBay or the likes (perhaps someone on this list has one kicking around in a pile of dusty old cables that they'd let go for $5 or $10 (I still remember when I paid $75 for one for my Quadra 700)). http://search.ebay.ca/aaui_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8 Eric. -- Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac Canada info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-can.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-canada%40mail.maclaunch.com/>
