I'm actually a huge fan of having editorconfig, I just know it can be tricky if you want to get it right (e.g. not have random style changes in PRs). Similar process to when we moved to spotless, fixing all sources to conform, marking the git commits special so they don't mess up `git blame`, dealing with the long tail issues described above. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
