Thanks for chiming in. I'll go with the complementary green 59BD81. And yes I 
plan to make it a permanent feature, that will highlight recent news, and then 
when they age >60d it disappears again. That way we'd typically have the latest 
release shown like above.

PS: I earlier put in a similar row that displays if there is a recent CVE 
security news, which draws attention to the security page. Then I used 
background color [#cccc33|https://www.color-hex.com/color/cccc33] but I think I 
may change that to your yellowish #FFBF78 instead to be consistent.

So if there is both a recent security announcement and a recent ordinary news, 
they would stack up like this. Makes me wonder if the green bar should be near 
the top as well, see 2nd example. But then again that is perhaps too much of a 
christmas tree experience :) :
