Noble Paul commented on SOLR-13661: ----------------------------------- bq.did you forget (again) to resolve the issues you committed or are they deliberately open because they haven't landed on 8.x yet There was scope creep. I originally did not start this as a proper package manager. the original idea was to just have a minimal improvement to hot load libraries. Eventually, I decided to do a proper coherent story around this so that it is done well. As you may know , it's very difficult to get buy in from your employer to undertake a huge task of this magnitude. bq.There have been no code reviews yet on this committed code; right? I looked and see none but I wasn't exhaustive. I'm glad that there are people volunteering to review code. As long as there are reviewers willing to collaborate, It's a good thing to have. There largely has been developer apathy to new features (or even other changes). As we have got some visibility through the talk in activate conf, we have managed to spark some interest. Yes, reviews are welcome and seriously appreciated. I'll be landing some big commits to the branch and seeking reviews and feedback. cheers 🍻 > A package management system for Solr > ------------------------------------ > > Key: SOLR-13661 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-13661 > Project: Solr > Issue Type: Improvement > Security Level: Public(Default Security Level.
