Review Comment:

https://github.com/apache/iceberg/pull/4898 to reliably determine which 
schemaId is still in use.
   
   We don't need to check whether there are data files that were written with a 
particular schema ID, only whether there are snapshots that reference the 
schema ID. Data files are readable by any future schema by design.
