Because of the distance between Haifa and London I can only tell you what my brother reports. He says the play store USB OTG checker doesn't install properly on the new phones, but works fine on old phones, reporting that they work properly. With my own 2 eyes, I saw a checker on my grandson's new phone. It seems to install but gives a message that the phone is incompatible - so it knows up front that something is "wrong" with the phone. There is no need to even attach the IOIO board for this test. There are a couple of versions of the USB OTG checker programs and both fail on new phones, and work on old phones. Naturally they are free and have ads.
