Thanks Ytai, I couldn't see clear enough to see there are 5 pins on the micro USB, unlike the 4 pins on the USB. Maybe this explains why I don't remember ever seeing a male micro USB to male micro USB.
Am I correct in thinking an "OTG" cable has the ID pin shorted to GND on the male micro USB? I assume nothing is shorted in the female micro USB connector?
