While I am concerned with “original creator” language, my concern is not about
factual claims. It is more about concerns with blurring of roles and any
implication that the “original creator” has control over the the PMC. I am more
concerned when that gives a perceived advantage for a particular vendor and
leads to other contributors to curtail their involvement.
Time limits are not an appropriate control and could lead to strange
gamification. Policing a rule like this may be a worse impact on a community
than ignoring it.
Best,
Dave
