I would like to introduce some nuance here, because like Julian I think moral rights is an important topic. I'd like to make a difference between stating _facts_, that is "XY was at the origin of creation of ASF Foo" and explicitly promoting XY as the creator of ASF Foo. In other words, I think that we don't have to erase history and mention that someone or some company was at the origin of a project at ASF. However, I think that this shouldn't be something _promoted_, which is a very different thing. e.g, having a home page which says "ASF Foo, a project created by XY" is wrong. In addition, it shouldn't be a problem for XY to say that they were at the origin of ASF Foo, unless it's an unreasonable representation of the truth.
