Indeed, for me the rule is simply to state facts and nothing else.

Adding rules based on specific wordings is bound to fail, as creative
folks will find "fun" alternatives to those.

Stating somewhere (comdev website? ASF blog post?) that public
communications about one's role in a project must be limited to
verifiable facts might be useful.
