Then trust me. I know a lot of people in those two companies, I am from the same background as most of them (KDE community) and I have worked for Trolltech, whose values and ethic remain in TQtC. So trust me when I say they, like my colleagues at Intel right now, are expected to behave themselves according to rules very similar, if not identical, to those set forth in the CC and KDE CoC. And here's the cinch: would *you*, Konstantin, feel qualified to contact their HR? Do you even know whom to contact? This is where the CoC committee can come in, because they have the community standing to contact an HR representative or the person's manager to see if they can also be of help. Maybe those two are aware of this person going through a rough patch in their lives and could advise in other ways to solve the situation. Note I didn't say "contact to get them fired", but "to see if they can be of help". We don't want to lose the contributor, we want to see the situation resolved in such a way that we keep both parties. -- Thiago Macieira - thiago.macieira (AT) intel.com Software Architect - Intel Open Source Technology Center _______________________________________________ Development mailing list Development@qt-project.org http://lists.qt-project.org/mailman/listinfo/development
