Package: apt-cacher
Version: 1.6.0
Severity: important

I've been using apt-cacher for many months now and I've never faced such a
problem:

$ ps aux | grep apt-cacher | wc -l
1204

/etc/init.d/apt-cacher stop didn't help at all, not even killall apt-cacher,
so I had to killall -KILL apt-cacher.
/var/log/apt-cacher/error.log doesn't contain anything about the massive
number of processes.

Is there anything I can do to provide more/useful information so this problem
is fixed?
I just tried to reproduce but I've been unable to.

Cheers,
