- The entire mouse button area of the touchpad acts as a left mouse button

On fresh 14.04 install with "Samba File Server" selected during
install...I hit the same "leaking memory" message when i 'sudo su'.
Confirmed was able to run 'pam-auth-update' and deselected "SMB password
synchronization" option in the pam-auth-update UI and the "leaking
memory" no longer appears.
I'm experiencing the exact same problem with AMD Radeon HD 8450G on Acer

attached xorg.conf), but the video acceleration is non-existent at any

Jaunty has glipper 1.0, which is based on their python rewrite of the C
source. I just looked at their python code, and it has logic in it to
avoid forcing a text value when there is a binary object on the
clipboard (which is what my C patch did that they incorporated into the
C version). However

I am seeing the same thing with a Verizon Wireless PC5740 card. I can
use the Auto CDMA Connection option in Network Manager and I do get
connected and am able to use the Internet, but in about 3 to 5 minutes

I found a workaround that works for me. I tried turning lcp-echo on and
off on Network Manager, but that had no effect. What I finally did that
worked was to manually edit the file /etc/ppp/options and comment out
the line that reads:

I also noticed this subtle difference between x.03 and x.06, and this
too was preventing macros running in open office calc 2.4 under Ubuntu
8.04. I created a link in /usr/lib/jvm from java-6-sun-1.6.0.03 to

- This is definitely a regression. In Gutsy (even Feisty!) there was a
reliable version of the driver. In Hardy there is a crappier version
related to the code that was merged into the main linux tree. I quote

It was working and then failed to boot after updating the kernel. And once in

you can't switch off as in there's no option for it, or the button
