As you can see, this bug is more than a year old. I have since gotten a
Mac and only use Ubuntu on servers (where I don't use BpX anyways). In
addition, I can't even remember which box I got this on, so I'm afraid I

me for my SSH-key password, since the key is password protected.
No, there's a real bug here, and that is that the password dialog goes
super-model, preventing me from grabbing the password from my password
manager.

I have Feisty running on my IBM Thinkpad R50e, upgraded from Edgy.
I've only got one 3rd party reposity enabled (apart from canonicals
commercial one), that is mlinds repository for turner-font-patches. I do
not know if that is the problem here - in that case, this bug should

Well, due to the botched upgrade, the system in question is rather
broken now - Most of my programs work but window management is broken.
My problem yesterday did not produce a main.log file. I seem to have run
into a different issue today, but that might just be because the system

Yes, my system did indeed recover, and so far I am very impressed by
Feisty so far. I run it on my spare-time laptop, and I've only found a
few minor annoyances so far. Most of the system is rock solid...

Quite often, when I try to copy text (Ctrl-C) from either of the text
fields in the translation view, gtranslator locks up, never to recover.
Only "solution" is to kill gtranslator and start over from where you
last saved.

Freezes for me too on an X40 notepad with the 82852/855GM chipset. I've tried
modeset and nomodeset to no avail. Tried the suggested 2.6.34 rc kernel as
well. That one freezes too when Xorg starts up.
I'm using the Vesa driver for now to be able to boot into Xorg.

I got this too on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10. I stopped the message flood just
by clicking eject on the dvd icon that was still in Nautilus although
there was no DVD in the drive. I wouldn't have noticed it if I hadn't
been looking for another error in the logs. I don't think it makes any

I fixed it by uninstalling ubuntuone-client and dependants using
Synaptic Package Manager. Ubuntu One was just bloatware that I never
asked for anyway. It should be optional to download, especially when it
is buggy and causes hard-to-track problems like this.

I just got this working on my system. I have ubuntu 13.04 in a vm
running on a windows host using virtualbox. I randomly changed the
networking this morning from a NATed interface to a bridged interface
and I changed the emulated network device from the Intel PRO/1000 MT
Desktop to the PCnet-FAST

We're hoping to fix this upstream as soon as we can.
The hang happens inside avahi's libdns_sd compat library. The library
gets in a weird state because of a seemingly wrong readyRead() by a
QSocketNotifier in Mumble's Bonjour code.
We haven't found the root cause of it yet, though, but we hope
