Public bug reported:

I just installed Knot 2 from the x86 live CD, and it left the system in
an unbootable state. It didn't generate the proper menu.lst.

I set up my ubuntu partition on /dev/sdb1 (since Ubuntu has started to
call regular PATA hdds sd* instead of hd*), but the menu.lst generated
references (hd0,0) which in this case is /dev/sda1 and the root
parameter is set to /dev/hda1 (which doesn't exist on my system).

When I used grub to change this to (hd1,0) and /dev/sdb1 it boots as it
should.

This is probably related to bug #61108
