Binary package hint: sysinfo
This is what I did in Edgy:
$ sudo aptitude install sysinfo.
...
$ sysinfo
*** stack smashing detected ***: sysinfo terminated
Aborted

version "0.6.1-0ubuntu5" is installed.
At least one other person on IRC confirmed getting the same error.
It happens if I run it with sudo as well.
